Just got my Evo today need help

Whats up guys I just picked up a GG Evo IX ME today. Please tell me if this is normal. When I spool up in 1st and shift to second I hear like a thump. It also does it in other gears too. Please let me know if this is normal if not I will take it back to the dealer ASAP. Thanks in advance.

desribe the thump a little more..
is it like under heavy shifting? you hear like a hard thump from the rear end??
if so, its ur differential bushings. not bad at all. every evo does this.
you could easily fix this although its really not a problem.
i believe ams makes solid diff bushing and mustache bar eliminator kit..

you need to get a little more used to the car

you are shifting too quickly and the drivetrain is reacting by giving off that thumping sound

you do not need a mustache bar eliminator to remedy the issue on a street car

learn to drive smoother...it's not an easy car to drive super smooth

Yes, to drive an EVO smoothly, you have to master the "Evo shift"

Welcome to Evo's. It's by far the noisiest car I've ever owned, driven or even riden in.
