Need some help diagnosing a problem

I just started having a little problem with my car and I need some help. My battery light and ebrake light sometimes come on very faint on the dash and the dash lights get dim, then after a little they go away and the lights get back bright. At night though the dash lights are constantly dimming and I'm almost sure they get back bright depending on how I drive the car (throttle/load wise)
I did a few searches and almost all the results were talking about stereo related problems and amplifiers which isn't the case with me because it happens whether or not my radio is on or off. One of them referred to the fuse box that's on the + terminal that it could be blown (which mine isn't) I don't think it's my battery dying because the car starts perfectly fine with just one kick. It doesn't affect anything else on the car just the random flicker of those lights, anyone experienced this before?

I thought about that too but I just wanted to get some feedback...before I go get a new alternator do you think it could possibly be anything else? I live in Jamaica and I'll have to send for 1 out of the country so I just want to be 100% certain...thanks

Yeah just throw parts at it until the problem goes away, TTP is so helpful

I would start by checking system voltage as the problem is occurring. It seams to me like added resistance from corrosion or partially broken wire.

No, you throw the correct part at it so it gets fixed. We are sorry that you lack the mechanical expertise to give the correct advise.

well I'm not too sure if it really is the alternator because when I start the car and pull the + terminal off the car still runs fine with no change in the tone of the motor (that is 1 of the ways to test the alt right?) If the alt was on its way out (not fully there yet) would it still behave like this?

I would hook up a volt meter and drive around, if you're getting anything below 14 volts with no radio or acc. then signs would point towards the charging system
