had 3 sets. all had to be replaced after roughly a year. Left then right then left then right... and so forth. They were nice when they were working though.

Received and installed today.

I think they look great....haven't driven around at night with them on yet or in the fog...

Pics:

As some others have said, these puppies get hot! After a few minutes on in the driveway to take some shots, the housing was hot to the touch...Hope these don't FRAK UP my housing ... I'll be keeping an eye on them just in case!

If memory serves OE is 35w. These are 55w that they claim "perform like 80w" (just like others). They are not actually 80w bulbs at all.

For around $60.00 you can get a set of hid fogs 3k yellow
and they look way better.

nope, nothing was ablaze. Aside from the bulbs just blowing out, alternating sides every couple of months they were fine haha. But i just got a set of HIDs and said screw it. except the place i got the HIDs from... a vendor on here... gave me different colored bulbs for the left and right....

Hope that's not the DDM/Apexcone kits... over on the Subie LegacyGT forums there are as many or more complaints about those as there are here about these bulbs.

...and to clear the record, I got these confused with the PIAA lights that are labeled 55w that perform like 80w.

Back from the dead......

I wanted to share my experience with these bulbs since I've installed them just over 1 year ago after coming across this thread...My pics are on post #93.

They are still working great! No damage to the headlight housing due to them running hotter then stockers. These work really good in the rain, fog and especially snow. I have not had anyone flash their high beams at me due to brightness in their eyes....

I picked them up for $18.99 shipped...if I recall...so far so good and still rocking.

+1 on that... ive had mine installed for 13 months, and no issues on melted housing, or bulbs going out, not a bad 20 bucks spent...
