Mitsu OEM Oil Filters

Okay, I know there are plenty of threads for this but they are all old from around 2003-2005. I figured I just update this and check on how good the OEM filters still are. I know a ton of people used to recommend and trust the OEM oil filter, is that still how people feel? Just trying to get a feel so I can order a few of them without regret.

I've used OEM filter for about 4 years now and so far no issues at all, when I have no time to pick one up I use Mobil which is more expensive and I don't notice the difference.

I used mobil 1 for about 2 years and I had no problem. I switched to Amsoil signature Series and the car runs smoother now. Then again the oil is almost double the price of Mobil 1. Filter at the dealer will run under 6 bucks, if you get it online from Mitsubishiparts.net it's about 4.50(around there) then u pay shipping, but currently they have a promotion if you spend $50 you gets free shipping

Wow, 4.61 is a great deal. I think I'll give my local dealer a call to see how much they charge for them.

I typically buy about 10 of them from the dealer for around $5/filter with the drain bolt gasket. Works great...

OEM filter is the only one that I will use on my car also, good price and you get the drain plug gasket at the same time you buy them if you ask. At work I have a couple of filters that we have cut open for a display on the differences and fram was by far the worst looking element I've seen yet.

Yea the parts guy at the stealership by me is kinda cool. And thats $4.61 after tax or whatever.

Also I was like, "I need some crush washers". So he ripped open a bag of em and poured like ~20 in my hand for free.
