to my opinion, even ours modded beloved evos can daily drive with no problems.
The question is reliability. There's always wear and tear down the road . The best way to keep the car last a long time is keeping it bone bone stock.

I used to DD my Evo when I still had it.

I think 500+ is plent for DD? lol, i drive the car everyday to work and back, snow or rain :-> not droping a dime on mods anymore, just maintanance.
I know if i drop more mods, problems will start.

500ish seems to be the max for a DD, although there are definitely notable exceptions (insert tuner). I would stick to 400whp, its more than enough for a dd street car, and will be less expensive to build.
