Seibon hood with rain

So I have the seibon carbon fiber hood, the oem, so it has the open vent. As of right now it's raining pretty heavy, so I went out and covered the vent with garbage bags. My questions are if I left the vent uncovered these next couple days while it rains, will I be ok? And driving around while it does rain, will I be alright? Thank you in advance.

Ps I'm posting this from my phone and it won't let me use the search function, so if this is a repeated question I apologize

as long as you dont have water dumping directly on the air filter or battery you will be fine.

I still got the heat shield on the headers so I think I'm ok. So it's ok to drive around then? I don't have to worry about coil packs burning up or anything of that nature?

I have a Seibon cf hood and I swapped over the hood vents from the OEM hood over to the Seibon hood and in Washington, it rains a lot. I haven't had a problem with it and I've had my Seibon hood for over a year.

I don't think the vent opening on the hood is even over the coil packs so you should be fine.

Well, since it is OEM style and EVO's do drive in rain, you should be ok.

you will be ok just some rust, and when starting her up you might get this smoke coming out, but its normal.

Screw that i took my cf hood for the winter due to the rain. Will put it on during the spring, and summer....

this is the reason why you switch the factory hood vents over! i've been running my c/f hood for 3 n a half yrs with no issues! Just switch everything over and you'll be fine!
