Just bought an Evo IV.. what to do??

my evo 8 has a evo lV engine and tranny..runs pretty strong... nice ride.

i thought people do it the other way around since the IV engines have issues??

anyways to the op, any updates??

Yes , the cranckwalk is the biggest problem so there are no big power numbers on them without changed the oem parts for uprated ones.

ooooh boy. i could've of sworn crankwalk only happens to evos lll and down. same set up. almost same specs on engine. oh well dont wanna get off topic.not worried. . anyways gotta love that evo lV though. very nice

Yeah, IV to IX, are the same engine bay orientation. Won't go easily into 1G or 2G eclipse.

ive been driving my IV hard now for the last year here on Okinawa and havent had any problems.....upgrage is the deal man got some good stuff new and used for very cheap

I am most likely going to sell it in a couple of months. I am looking for a EVo III, I can build that up and bring the engine back and put it into a 1G/2G.. or start working on Nissan's lol..

Evo III idea is good....Nissan...booo skylines are a dime a dozen out here i hate seeing them...once in a blue moon a REAL GT-R will come along....not skyline with a gtr badge on it F*** Nissan tho

not true at all...it can be if you find the right places to get parts but with the yen rate and local shops charge out the a** for everything its not reasonable like
