Looking for the Right Evo

I have loved evos since the day i set my eyes on one but money has not been good to me so i havent had enough to buy one, until now. I am looking at Evo's under 16k and there are quite a few, all with over 70k miles i might add and older than 2006. I'd like to know if there is anything i should look for when buying the evos that could be a problem mantinence-wise. I'd also like to know how reliable an Evo is and if there is a specific type of evo i should look for.

There's an Evo owner on this forums who's car is approaching 200 000 miles, so if you take good care of it, it should be a very reliable car. As for the rest, +1 to what mevolv3 said.
