As the arguing continues, I'll say this.
All parts are NOT created equal.
Just having the same pieces that make a TBE (or any mods for a high-performance car), does not mean you'll get the same results. This goes for name brand parts vs. eBay stuff vs. no-name parts. This has been proven time and time again on the dyno.
So, for your money, buy the best part(s) you can afford.

But you're right!! Let's do exactly what you say and spend, what is it, $500 let's say on a brand name catback rather than $80 for a turboback. But yes let's think about the supporters of this community and not our own lives and wallets. I'm sorry, but not everybody is rich enough, like you, to spend thousands of dollars on stainless piping and brands. Some of us have bills to pay, tuition to pay, and rent to pay.
So if you're bills and rent include paying for the name of companies, by all means go ahead. But don't tell someone else to because you think that's what they should do.
If you have such a problem with spending money on your car, why in the hell are you doing it in the first place. If you cannot afford to buy good, reputable parts you seriously shouldn't own an evo.
If you are such the expert on the time that this forum has been around then you should know all of the testing and proof of ebay products failures.
Rather than becoming the EvoM E-Thug and bashing people for reasons you obviously have no grounds to speak of because of your limited evo knowledge complete lack of abundant information given to other on these forums, maybe consider giving insightful findings that could help others.
No one likes an A$$hole.
At any rate....back on topic
