my friend had a similar issue and we came to find out that after we did brake pads and rotors all around that a spring from his parking brake was out of place and making the noise.. that was an easy fix

its probably your HKS BOV, watch your boost gauge and see if it happens right between boost and vacuum.

Just weird why it would only give out the warning of wear only at that speed. Lastly sometimes I think its my HKS SSQV. That thing has been nothing but great to me and love it even though there are alot of negative sayings about it on this board.

Anyone have any thoughts?

please read the op. and yes it is a possibilty, it has happened to a friend of mine b4.

If you can hear anything whilst going 70 mph that isn't your turbo, engine, or exhaust, I'd say your fine.

Thanks for the clear up and sorry for the thread jack. I was at 4th gear at around 70mph and the sound was the same no louder than it would be at 5th gear and the same speed, so I'm pretty sure its just wind noise.
