LICP install , do you have to take the bumper off??
Sorry if this is in the wrong section.
I just got a AMS LICP and was wondering how long it would take to do and if you really needed to take the front bumper off??
I'm going to be doing this at work so I will be on a lift.
Thanks for any input.

no you dont, but i recommend the lift... i first did the install at my house and the hose that connects to the turbo was slanted a bit and i couldnt tell because of space constraints... small leak... went on the lift and bam easy does it

i installed my LICP about 10 days ago .. take the undertray off, then the bumper. IT WILL BE SOO MUCH EASIER if you take off the bumper. The bolts which are on the supporting brackets on the stock LICP are a PITA to take off with the bumper on .. Take the bumper off, its SUPER easy and will make things go MUCH faster and easier.

+1 the only reason why I would take the bumper and everything off is to ensure the t-bolt clamps are put on in such a way that you can later get at them from just peaking your head underneath the bumper. In other words, do it right the first time, then if you have to tighten them later you don't have to take the bumper off.

Do yourself a favor and practice taking off the front bumper. It will make your licp install go much easier and after a couple times practicing the front bumper is as easy as changing a tire.
