Hello, i recently picked up an evo 9 mr and bought it with a full 3 inch exhaust (downpipe,testpipe,turbo back) and i have a service engine light on becasue the 02 sensor was installed back into the test pipe with no fouler. im thinking about leaving that how it is, and ordering an oxygen simulator. i found one here that would apperantly work on my car. :

im wondering if anybody has one of these, how it works, how to install it, and if its worth it, or if i should just get a new 02 sensor for post test pipe and install a fouler. will this simulator work the same way? also i need this to trick my computer into getting rid of the service engine soon light so i can pass my emmisions. what do you guys think? thanks, max.
btw i tried searching for a thread about this topic and coulnt find one.

just get a mechanical O2 fix(9-10bucks). It is made specifiacally for this purpose. I believe I purchased mine off of speedelement. You just screw your rear O2 sensor into it and then you screw the CEL FIX into your exhaust.

I live in IL and the county that I live in is subjectable to emission testing. I recently took my evo in for testing and I passed, LOL. I came in there with a test pipe and I passed the test. NO CEL. I have been running with this set up since the summer of 08 with no problems whatsoever and I have never had a CEL.

Save the time and money. The Spark Plug Anti-Fowlers just need to be drilled out and that's about it.

And if you want even less work, use this one off Ebay. This is what I'm using, and the CEL hasn't come back on since.
