Worst day with my Evo was when I was Driving Down to South Carolina from Ohio and the head lifted somewhere in North Carolina on the way there . Cool thing was it was still good enough to make it to South Carolina and all the way back to Ohio.
Second worst day was when I was on the highway, look in my rear view mirror to see the entire road behind me smoked out. Somehow my oil drain line bolts both backed out from the turbo and I lost all my oil on the highway. Shut off the car before there was any damage. I noticed within seconds of it.
I was going to put in new bolts and i guess it was stripped so I have to remove the turbo to tap the holes and in doing so one of my hardened steel bolts connecting the turbo to the manifold snapped. I had to cut the flange of the hotside of my 35r to get the bolt out then fill the missing gap with weld, grind it flat, drill a new hole and tap that one.
So a 2 min. job turned into hours of labor. Regardless its fixed now and I love my Evo even tho shes a PITA sometimes.

My worst day was when I had one of my old DSM's. It was winter and I live in Chicago. I was driving down a fairly busy street when I see a chunk of snow in front of me. It was too late to swerve and there was a car next to me anyway. Long story short, it was a huge solid ice chunk, my 3" fount mount core looked like that black evo when it was bent. The next week I bought a new bumper and a new intercooler lol, sucked.

it wasnt the unluckiest day with the evo, it was the unluckiest day with my 350z. I was going down I-75 by my house and was bumped by a lady while i was going 75mph down the highway.
i later slipped on the ice getting my stuff out of the car and broke off the passenger mirror, and my ***
