Buying an Evo dealer insists it is an MR but I don't think so

Yes, there is no way in hell I would pay anywhere near 21,000 for this SSL. If I can get them own to 15,000 or so then I might get it, not sure yet. I go tomorrow morning to talk with them/drive it some more.

South Coast has a few Evos that I am looking at. A few in EB that I would kill for but... I'm not in California, so we'll see what I can do with this one.

its a 5 speed, as you can clearly see from the pics , mr's have 6 speed . end of thread lol .

+1...as said before by everyone, 5speed...all other minor details are easily changed too look like an MR, wheels, vortex gen, suspension...just take your biz somewhere else

Test drove the car today. Ehhhh not so good of a drive. Inside is immaculet. Paint is like an 8/10. clutch was grand, everything was great.

other than the fact that it was slow as *****. took the car on a drive and it boosted until 15 psi but it would lightly stutter when I was full on it. went back to the dealer, and found a MBC on it. yanked that **** out of there, took it for another drive. boosted 10 psi but it was very smooth. I'm thinking the last owner had a ton of go fast parts, posibly turbo/injectors with a tune. when he sold it I thnk he put it back to stock and didn't get a retune. If it is just a tune this thing needs I'm con the dealer into giving it to me for dirt cheap lol.

Might go back to check out what injectors, and stuff that it has.

Any ideas on what else could cause this?

Its too bad your not in Maryland, the guy that sold me my evo is a beast. He knows his **** and will look in other states to find one for you. (thats why he is #1 sales guy in my area).

There is also a 5,500 rpm limiter in 1st when sitting still isnt there?

that can be changed with a tune?

That's a 2 Step. You can take it off with a flash.

It seems to have had front end damage. Notice how the right side of the hood (you facing car) is a little off. Plus those aren't the original headlights or tail lights. Don't buy it. My .02

You can tell an MR from a miles away. The post says 5 speed, think all MR's are 6 speed. Not only that but you have to condsider the interior. If the car doesn't have no gauges than for sures it aint one. Don't buy this or you will be laughing stock of the evo community.
