Battery dead what to do?
So I let my boy borrow the Evo for a day and he calls me up late at night says my car just died. I came out there to jump start the car drove back home and it died again. Had to jump start it again to park it. Went out the next morning to start the car noticed all my gauges come on and stuff but it was dim. Tried to start and I can't even hear it crank. Definitely alternator problems so I bought a used one from a shop that had one on handy. Well today I tried to unlock it and it wouldn't unlock so the battery is definetly dead also. It's an AMS racing battery. What should I do? Can't afford a tow truck right now...

Push start my friend, roll it down a hill, throw it in 2nd leave the clutch in, once you get speed, let the clutch go and boom it will start. When you do it, make sure the key is on the ON position.....LOL i have a small battery as well a i had to do that like 3 times then I finally bought a new one. Im sure this puts wear and tear to some part, but if you need to start just to get you going try it. Now thats old school

The thing is I have a Viper alarm if I unlock the door without the keyfob the alarm goes it and wont stop. I've never tried the push start method how exactly do I accomplish this with no hills around the area and speed bumps everywhere? I stay at an apt complex.

You're going to have to bite the bullet, and set off the alarm. Just be ready to pop the hood and disconnect the negative battery terminal. Definetly time to replace the battery though.

Yup battery is definetly dead opened the car with the key and nothing come on. Had to get it towed to a mechanic shop. Any other small battery kits out there with enough amps? The AMS one has like 690 and all I had was a head unit and some gauges. It's also been a few years and it should not have died like that. Any other options for a small lightweight battery? Any other size wouldn't fit with all my modifications on there.

^I have this, but it sounds like you either have really bad luck with batteries or you have alternator problems. I hear the ETS mini-battery is good being lead-acid, so I might jump to that when my PC680 gives me enough issues. So far after 2+ years it is still good though!
