Throttle sticking!!

You're going to have to remove the t-body. the back side probably has extreme carbon build up on it. Mine did this. Use brake cleaner on it. That carb cleaner from advance sucks. The best cleaner I've used was Honda (motorcycle) carb cleaner, it takes it right off with little scrubbing.
tchouko, was the back side of your carb filthy?

What was the outcome with this? Mine has been getting progressively more annoying, though I haven't tried cleaning the throttle plate yet.
If it did work out, which cleaner did you end up using?

You might want to check your front O2 sensor.I had the same problem a while back and it turned out to be the O2 sensor.Easy way to check is just unplug the sensor and drive around a bit and see if it fixes the problem.

I had a slight sticking when going off idle. I went to replace my throttle body shaft seals and the back of the throttle plate was covered in soot. I gave it all a thorough cleaning with some brake cleaner that didn't work very well. After the cleaning, the throttle was much smoother.
You should be able to easily tell if its the cable or throttle body. Just remove the cable from the throttle body and you should be able to tell which is causing the problem.

sorry i dont really believe you thoroughly cleaned your throttle body. you probably removed the upper pipe then sprayed alil cleaner and wiped the plate. that isnt good enough if its sticking, which mean its heavily gunked. remove the TB and do a real cleanup!
