I park away from everyone, despite the distance, and somehow still end up finding dings from inconsiderate aholes.

My friends think I am in love with my car, and I have no problem with it haha.

In the harsh central NY winters, the car takes a beating, but I let her warm up nice and long and take it easy on her. I cannot wait to get it detailed in the spring. It will be my treat for being good to me since I have had it and for the future.

Im going to clean out our 3rd garage space which we would use like a shed and park my evo in there when I get it...and Ill have to manually open and close everytime. Dont want to park it outside during winter in Wisconsin.

<grin> That's a lot of washing. Have you looked into ONR, or a QD procedure that'll allow you to maintain the finish without a full wash?

When it comes to my evo, im pretty **** with just about everything.

Try to enforce the no food/ no drink policy, but absolutley always enforce NO SMOKING IN MY CAR!!

My friend needed a ride from work one day and reeked of a certain smoke smell and i practically kicked him out. But, i wasn't gonna be that jerk, just decided to drive all the way home all 4 windows down and sun roof opened, in 10 degree weather...no joke

Try to wash her as much as possible and detail on free time.

I am the guy that parks miles away to avoid door dings and also almost always park on the end of a parking lot row or those little island things (the landscape islands with trees and bushes) as far over as i can to avoid the possibility of a door ding.

got 60k service done at 60 k and change oil 2.8k miles to 3 with mobil 1 full synthetic.

Sadly its my dd and have to drive in rain and snow sometimes, also don't have a garage to tuck her into at night

No one drives my car unless i completely trust them. The first day i got my evo, my dad decided he wanted to "try her out". lets just say he had never driven and AWD or turboed car before. Almost went right into a ditch. needless to say that was the last person driving my ride.

I know im pretty ridiculous about things but take pride in my car. Literally the evo is my dream car and i have to take care of it. Sometimes i go way overboard, any odd noise i hear i imediatly panic and post to see what it is. usual answer is its an evo engine....its gonna make noise lol

Love me some EVO!

Maintenance: I get it washed professionally once a week. Twice a week i clean any immediate yucky stuff on it and i clean the wheels rims 2x a week also. No eating or anything of the sort in the Evo. =)

Driving: I'm nice to her all day every day but i make sure i jump on it and let her go crazy a couple times a week...unless provoked. Then it's a few more times a week.

I drive my IX hard always getting on boost. I smoke in my car but no food or drinks are allowed. Mechanically it's a different story, it's very well maintained. Change the motor oil every 2k miles, clean the air filter every 25k miles, change all the drivetrain fluids every 15k miles. I do all the maintanance stuff before they need to be done, I like to make sure she is fresh and ready to rumble

I park far from society, change oil every 2.9k with amsoil. Keep her clean inside and out, absolutely no smoking of cigarettes, food and drinks im cool with just dont make a mess.
I always let her warm up properly idc if im late.. I also let the fuel pump go for a secs before crank. Ohhh and tuck her inside for the night, then take a quick glance at her to remind myself how good looking an evo is.

Haha that is my exact mentality for this car. I don't even own one yet but I'm head over heels in love with it lol... I'm kind of scared now about the other drivers in my car, I promised a couple people who don't even drive a stick.... Maybe I should rethink that haha can't be too careful right?
