It's damn near impossible to buy a non-modded Evo. I was close to buying a built 600whp Evo but opted for the less modded stock turbo Evo instead and added more of my own mods.

$18k is not a bad price, though. I'd certainly look into it

most evos have been modded in some way or modded then converted back to stock. YOu see it here all the times folks selling there mods for stock parts to trade car in. Guess what somebody gets that car. Its going to cost you 15k-25k to fully build a evo anyway you like this includes built longblock not the standard bolt ons only. So buying a car already done is cool but you better watch out. you might be getting somebody elses problem or headache. There are honest people out there that have built evos selling them and nothing is wrong but you need to do your homework and take it to a evo shop and have it fully inspected to the fullest.

^^^^^x1000.....The thing with built cars is you have NO idea where to start if something goes wrong, and yes most of the evos do have some kind of bolt ons, but the less the better.

Depends on who did the work. If was Joe Blow in his garage, I'd pass. If the work was done by a reputable shop on the forums, then I'd have no issues with it.

And some are not making enough with the economy. Heck there was already a post last week I believe with someone saying they can't afford their car now. People sell cars for various reasons.

^that's the most reasons when people sell their car. House payment, car payment, baby on the way, divorced, moving etc.

The car looks like a deal to me. If you want to run a 35r, this car looks like as good a build as your going to find. If your worried about the tune, throw it on a dyno and see what he's running. You can probably talk the seller into paying for it, if your serious.
