None of them are SE's, they are all regular MR's.

There has to be an accounting of the number of IX SSLs that were sold in the U.S., doesn't there? You guys don't have any ideas on how to get a hold of that number?

Man, this gets all kinds of twisted all the time. There was an SE package that some dealerships added that you could throw on the MR. It is not the same as the IX SE, badged and branded that way from mitsu. If this information is not correct, can someone please straighten me out. I own a TB IX SE, and it came with red stitched recaros, a different front lip, HID's, the diamond black bbs's, *a 5 speed* and the aluminum roof and fenders. No vortex generator. It's very clearly branded simply lancer evolution SE on the back.

MR SEs were a factory option, not a dealer add on. The MR SEs did not have the SE badge that the GSR SEs came with.

SE models had the SE specfic front lip, Shiny BBS rims, Red stiched recaros and a few other insignificant things. The MR on the other hand is a trim level as is GSR. SSL was just a option package that included HID's, rockford forgate audio, SUnroof, leather recaros.

There is no GSR SE. There is one SE that came from the factory branded as an SE, and it not the MR SE. It's just the SE. The MR SE is an MR thats been given the same SE additions at the dealership, and not even all dealerships offered that.

The SE shares a number of features with both the MR and the GSR, but its getting even more confusing to hear people starting busting out the GSR SE now. The information can be verified through a number of places, but the model breakdown is pretty straight forward for USDM IX's:
RS
GSR (SSL Optional)
SE
MR

Some of the mis-information in this thread makes my head hurt. It would be nice to get a better break down of exactly how many of each were sold and for the GSR model the number that were with SSL.
