The first gen evo's are okay basically same engine as in the 2g eclipse. I would take one but not for DD.

deff not for a dd and im pretty sure they're expensive and pretty hard to find especially in good condition. The motor can be modded to make big hp though

I had one, minimal mods, as in chip, pump, 3inch exhaust, pod filter, 18psi and did 11.9!! I was pretty happy

They are however very RAW if you know what I mean...

Oh and I never had issues with my transfer or gearbox EVER!!! I would abbuse the hell out of it too. As for my evo 8 gearbox and transfer mmmm thats another tale!!
