Harness Bar Usability/Clearance?

Harness Bar Usability/Clearance?
I have a daily driver Evo but I am thinking about adding a harness bar to my car. My backseats are all intact, along with all other seatbelts and interior molding. I searched some and mostly found topics about pictures and for sale harness bars.
The question I have is this:
If you've installed a harness bar, what kind of limitations/problems does it pose to legroom or "comfortable"-ness (?) to any passengers in the back of the car?
I'm sure some of the bars are better than others, so please post which one you have and your opinion on it. Thanks!

The time with rear passengers should be zero, unless your not moving, but if anything definitely put the foam covering around it, the thickest and spongiest you can find. Also have fun finding people that would sit back there. I sure as hell wouldn't. If it was my car I would use it as an excuse so I don't have to cart people around

+1. in my first 2g dsm i took my seats out so I didn't have to give people rides. Not that it mattered anyways if they were in or not because I'm 6'2" and the back of my seat rests against the bottom of the rear seat.

if u install a harnass bar u can forget about having passengers in the rear. even with foam padding goin say about 40 mph hitting the bar with ur teeth will never end well nomatter how much padding u got.

Hey OP, i had a similar question couple of weeks ago
check this: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...cage-evos.html
but anyway, like people said, your backseats will be unusable, and you might smack your head if you do get in a crash, so u need to wear a helmet.

I have one. I never let people ride in the back. The smallest thing, them not paying attention can be a very big problem. Heck think about your liability in a lawsuit. I got an autopower half cage. It's so cumbersome I only let people feel what it would be like. They never want to ride in it. It helps with rigidity too.
