nothing too coarse, just enough to sand it down so you can slip them through, also mine did not come with any rubber pieces. I got the buschur underhood ones and there were 2 bushings and 2 little clips...

maybe 400 or finer will do the trick, sand them a little, grease them and push them through, others have used clamps to push them through... good luck

sand the inside .....and the rubber washers go on one end of the bushing so make it were the arm cant slide off of it
