I have the Copperhead on my car because of my frame style (Specialized Enduro). No straps are involved, but you have to buy everything separately. If you go to www.yakima.com and put in your car, it'll show you your options.

I got the 50" which seems to be the smallest size they offer. You can call orsrackdirect.com, tell them you want the 480 thule traverse as well as a bike adapter with it and they will give you everything you need.
According to Yakima they recommend their 48" bar size with their kit, so from that idea, I ended up getting the 50.

The new Thule roofracks will work just fine. You just have to get the one that mounts over the door frame, They are newer, and any place like Rocky Mounts or any store that specializes in racks will be able to get you what you need without screwing up your roof. All 3 of my roommates have this rack, and they don't scratch at all

you are supposed to read the thread before you post anything.
My whole point is that people like you think that Thule does not work for our cars,
In the case of having an MR, when their new editions do work perfectly.
just look at the pictures I have provided.
