Re: Evo RS SPOTTED!
unless it is a damn tight track, the Evo should not have any chance against either of those cars....

So wait, the 2003 is worse than the 2004? In other words the RS is better than the Reg. Evo?? hmm...mayb since its cheaper its a better buy but what exactly did they take out of the RS that makes it soo much cheaper?

Brett,
Great news about it not being much louder. All I'll need to do when I buy mine is install a stereo and speakers.
Am I wrong in thinking that the RS will sell to just as many people who can't afford the regular Evo as those who are looking to seriously race it?
Maybe I'm underestimating the car's legendary following...or hoping there are more people like me who don't have the dough for the regular Evo
Price is the nicest part for me, even if the regular Evo is selling at around 28-29K, it's still a couple grand saved.

The GT3 is seriously hardcore. I doubt many posers will last with one. Sure, some will buy them, but will tire quickly of the uncompromising nature. Hmmm, maybe a second-hand GT3 instead of the Skyline???

the RS is good for nothing else except track use...
it has ZERO creature comforts... manaul mirrors, windows, no A/C, no HID, no radio...?
who the **** wants to drive that daily...?
If you just want to buy one to mod, and use for tracking then it's a great idea... other than that...? fugetuboutit...!

PLEASE. One can say just as many things are lacking from the regular EVO if you compare it to an Audi or a BMW or something...but then everyone on this board starts with the "well, its not for everyone, and yeah its a pure race car BS"...but as soon as the cheaper and more hard core EVO comes out, the regular EVO people (of which i am a part of) immediately try to create some arbitrary dilineation between the regular one and its "sufficient" creature comforts, versus the even more stripped out one. C'mon guys, our cars are pretty stripped to begin with...but we find excuses for it. Lets not embarass ourselves like that

Evo isnt a luxury vehicle to start off, I mean the only two things that I would really want in a RS are A/C and ABS, if I can get this Im definetly going with white RS
