I checked Barnes and Noble but it must have been an old issue.

A Black McLaren-Mercedes-Benz SLR is on the cover.

i only browse these forums a little bit, but what is the price difference between these 2? and weight difference? I'd drive around in one, I haven't had a car with HID's, don't find them absolutely neccessary, and roll up windows, ya power ones are nice, but not absolutely neccessary, id still roll in that thing for sure!

It certainly shows just how pure and raw the RS is. You have to give Mitsubishi congratulations for bringing it to the US market. Just as with the 2003 Evo, it's not something your average joe would understand. It's a performance car with a purpose. For a weekend toy, it offers all the goods for even less money! Lighten a RS a little more by pulling the spare, seats, and put on a lightweight 3" exhuast, ECU tune-up, throw in a roll cage, fire suppression system and harnesses. You'll have a neck snapping <2900 lb 350hp track deamon! with the front LSD, it might even be neutral (slight oversteer, hopefully!) instead of plowing under power so much.

M3lachsilber, actually he said he LIKES the black unpainted handles and mirrors
Yogi- I'm with you, love the contrast of the black handles...but it may be because EVERY race evo is built from the RS, so I'm used to seeing them in that light. Check out the SCCA Evo rally cars from this season...and the numerous Best Motoring Vids where the RS model runs off laughing at the GSR.
After much debate, including a trip to the dealer this weekend, I've decided on white. Red looks great under the flourescent lights on the showroom floor, but white looks nice with the red calipers, and is the traditional RS color.
how about you guys?
