Has everyone seen the latest Sports Car Internatinal issue with the RS vs Z06 vs 911 GT3 ? Funny how each car is twice as expesive as the one before it.. $27k, $54k, $110k. Vishnu's Bret got a plug in there as well. They must have slept with someone at every publication..

Wow! Long thread on the RS, haven't read it all but some interesting stuff.
Just to give you my experiences, I'm in the UK and drive a VII RS, before that I had a VI GSR and I can honestly say, if you're in to raw motoring and drivers cars then the RS is an absolute winner!
I picked my RS up on the hottest day ever in the UK last year, but instead of AC just wind the car up to a 100mph plus and wind down the window, has the same effect!
Anyway, my car is 1280kgs which is 80 - 100kgs lighter than a GSR, it's much sharper all round, accelleration, turn in, braking everything in fact! BTW, 80 - 100Kgs is 176 - 220lbs! Quite a difference.
Sometimes no central locking is a pain when having to open the rear doors but I didn't buy the car as a transporter.
I've had mine tuned to 334hp and 382ft/lbs torque which gives me a torque per tonne figure of 300ft/lbs, pretty trick eh?
I'd have an RS over the GSR anyday, more controllable, it's you and the car, not you, the car and load of electronic wizardry battling for control.
Hope this helps
