I'm not sure about the oil cooler. If it's standard on the other Evos then it's on the RS. The intercooler sprayer hasn't been installed on the USDM Evos since 2005 when we got ACD. The sprayer bottle was replaced with the ACD resevoir. That being said you may be able to retrofit the sprayer back onto the Evo with some creative thinking.

I know this has all been covered before, but the newbs don't want to search 57 pages to find it...and I can't blame them.

BTW...I just put power locks in my RS and it's WONDERFULL!!! All of the other stuff I can live without but circling the car to check the locks after I've had people in the car got really old. Next I'll sound deaden the trunk. I've got 50sq/ft of "fatmat" on the way. That should make the car a lot quieter on the freeway.
As a newbie interested in the RS I was curious if ABS/EBD had been recently added to the sales specification.
Using this Mitsubishi web site link and opening up the view details section for the RS it currently shows the following.

SAFETY: four-wheel Brembo® brakes with Mitsubishi Sports anti-lock system and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, electronic engine immobilizer and front airbags†

Is this a typo, or am I misreading it, or have they changed the spec?

I saw that the other day and was wondering the same thing.

The site seems to contradict itself in different places...

Typo. The RS has neither ABS or EBD.

It comes with AC... just no stereo (but wired for speakers), no pwr door, no pwr
window.... So spend about $500 to add those in and save thousands over regular
GSR.

Besides, RS is faster anyways..

I was wondering about this too. I searched for over a month for a white RS. All I could find was red. Does anyone have the total production numbers for the '06 RS?

I heard there were 800 white RS's made in '04 and another 800 white RS's in '05. Not sure if that's accurate or what the numbers are for '06 but this is what my salesman told me about a year after I bought the car when I asked.

Why is this important anyways?

I dont know the numbers.. for 06, it's definitely less than regular GSR or MRs...

It's really not, at least not to me. Although I'm pretty sure total '05 MR and total '05 RS production numbers were equal. In any event, make no mistake, we're not exactly driving collector's items. These RS models are worth much more to an amateur racer than an Evo collector. They make for a great racing platform. Just add some r-compounds, a helmet and a roll cage and you're nearly there. You just have to learn how to drive.
