Lancer Evolution RS Thread [MEGA MERGE]

Why strip down the evo? Mitsu should do the opposite, give us a ralli-art version evo. Now that would be sweet! wonder how much the rs is going to cost...maybe I can afford that one. I think i just answered my own question

bad idea
I think this is a bad idea, and sure am glad I bought my evo 8 now.Loos like anybody contemplating this issue should go ahead and get an evo 8 too.they should go upwards with the car, not downgrade.By the time you roll down the window to talk to the chicks admiring your car they will be gone.not good.hehe.

Hmmm, looks like you guys arn't getting a base RS, but an RS with all the options.
Usually an RS comes without these:
Recaro's, rear seats and door trimmings
Brembo's
17" Wheels
ACD, AYC
AC, Power windows, ABS, Rear wiper.
Funny how the took off the spoiler as everywhere else leave it as standard, (The US is the only place that I know of that has it as an option.)
But it should be interesting because if I were to buy an evo8 RS I would tick the option boxes for the seats, wheels and brembo's anyway.
I would still leave out the ABS and AYC though.
Also you get the choice of two colours, everywhere else it only comes in white (the best colour).

They have been selling the RS models in japan for years. It's the same as the GSR versions but without all the luxary items. It was made for people who are going to just strip the car and put aftermarket stuff in it. I don't think it's going to be a big seller in the states, but in japan, the RS are very common. Racing and car stuff in general is such a big part of the economy over here.

Under $27,000 is the ink from the press.
Too bad there missing the boat here.
They need cruise control, Sequential Manual Transmission, and some better aero work, full underbody paneling is the easiest and cheapest ABS plastic to clip un underneath for the best results...
US people want options, not stripped. but It will be fun to run one around the track once or twice, but for anything other than a trailer car.... no thanks.

This solidifies commitment to the US market and is totally dangling it right out there for SCCA, and rally teams as the perfect starting point. Everyone should be pleased with this as its geared right at the the race only crowd and the True True enthusiasts that might not be able to afford the whole package but would kill to have an EVo (now they can!!) Prolly wont be seeing these sitting on dealer lots much mostly special order sales. Props to
