Need HELP with LEMON LAW

Do a search on the net about the lemon law. Find one that will let you submit your problems and you should get a response. Hope you kept all your work orders that will help you out.

I've had similar problems, and I'm close to persuing the lemon law in my state. Each state is different -- punch in "lemon law" and your state in a search engine -- this should get you some references. Here, if the car is in the shop for 30 days for any reason, or has had 8 major problems the law will kick-in (in addition to the same problem 4 times).
*For the record, anyone who has a wisecrack comment about not being able to shift - save it! Some of these trannies have been junk and required shims to work properly - hardly the fault of the driver!*
Find a good lawyer by talking to friends/family and get some feedback. A good attorney is priceless in these situations. Avoid using the yellow-pages or TV ads. Good luck GTZ...

i called the regional district manager. I am awaiting a call from him to set up an appointment so I can show him my car. I got a case # and everything. I will say that the women that I spoke to was VERY nice and told me that if I didnt get a response in 2 business days, than to call the dealership back and give them the case #.
Also, I will add that I have already tried a different dealership, but because Shelton already tore down my tranny for 5th gear syncro replacement that the SHELTON should fix it. Believe ME, if i know i didnt have to deal with Shelton I WOULDNT

O.k. Here is my advice. first you need a copy of each trip to the dealership. Each service log by the dealer will state weather or not the problem you brought it in for is the same of not. If it is not and the dealer is intentionally going to prevent you from being a lemon law case.
2. The problem must be more than 3x. That mean 4 trips to the same dealer to fix the problem.
3. There is a specified amount of time the dealer cannot go over in keeping your car. I believe it is 15 working days. but check anyway.
4. You cannot go over on mileage. 12,000 per year. If you do they will dock that from your winnings.
5. It will take at least 2 years and $20k to win. I know by experience. And it will be longer if you dont hound your lawyer, which will cost you money for every phone call.

I had a similar problem with my 99 Cobra. In the shop for 120 days in less than 1 year. To make a long story short, about 1.5 years without car, attorney, and Ford traded my 99 for a 01 even swap.
Lemon laws vary by state, so check with the CT Attorney Generals Office. Read up on the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (Since NC doesn't have a lemon law, the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act is how I was able to get a new car.)
Document EVERYTHING and contact the area sales rep before filing legal papers.

Good luck man, it takes time and patience

I have a question: Before the district rep comes to check out my car, do you think I should remove my TB exhaust and buschur cone filter??? The reason why I ask is because the dealer has already fixed my car with these items on the car, so if i put them back to stock, do you think the dealership will try to dick me.
Also, I got the name of the service manager's boss. I was going to call him this morning, but i was then thinking i should wait until after they fix my car?? What do you think?

I'd remove them. The dealership probably won't even notice they've been removed and it will help your case with the regional rep. He may be looking for excuses like "hey, you modified the engine and developed horsepower beyond the ability of the transmission to handle it".

The car is still waitin on parts. I talked to the tech today and he told me that he couldnt really find anything wrong in the transmission but he ordered a whole bunch of parts anyways.
Also, I asked about replacing the clutch while they had the tranny apart and they told me that parts would be like 350. They said the clutch look OK but there were a few burn marks on the flywheel or something like that...do you think i should just go ahead and have them change it out????

well i finally got my car back last week (Wed). I will def. give a to Colonial Mitsubishi in Danbury CT as they have been really nice and had no problem with the mods that i had. Anyways, after talking privately with the tech and NOT the service manager, the tech told me that the transfer case that was already installed on my car from shelton mitsu was grenaded. And this is after one day of driving. he took apart the t-case and he told me that the tolerances were soooooo off inside the case from the factory (keep in mind that this was already my second t-case) he said that the gears were shimmed way tooo close and that he could see were the gears were actually carving away marks in each other. He def. agreed that there was something wrong with the t-case from the factory and he said that we may be seeing a recall in the near future. I really hope that this t-case lasts longer than the last one. He explained to me a breakin procedure which entails driving at highways speeds for 30-40 minutes and then letting the t-case cool down. He also explained to me that doesnt have a breakin procedure for these but he informed me that he has experience with aftermarket t-cases on other cars and said that this was a good procedure.
