perrin or injen uicp

i got a perrin solicone uicp its like 3" big, should i leave it on or get a injen uicp, which ones better?

the differences would be minimal and until someone can provide data on what boost peaks and steady state boost values are with one relative to the other (on the same car and everything else being equal with multiple reads that generating enough data points), there is no point in switching. go with what you've got and put $ and time to things you need - eg, e85, race fuel, track day fees, dyno day fees, or maintenance issues that need to be addressed.

Haven't seen any since folks realized the UICP doesn't do anything for performance. Check Buschur's old threads.

Yea and that's why I'm still using my stock Uicp.

haaaaaaaaaaaaa yup i was waiting for somebody to say that. just for looks hommie i personally use injen all the way but you can use what you want.

I use Injen, but do not believe there are any gains. I would choose the hard piping over the rubber or w.e Perrin uses.

I believe it just helps spool up time for the turbo but I could be wrong. Definately dont change it out, put it to something more constructive like a bigger turbo..lol

I wouldn't use either of those. Get a SS304 UICP from Buschur or ETS. Injen I believe is made of mild steel which will rust and is heavy as hell.

Edit: I personally have the ETS Polished SS304 UICP with the stock battery.

no rust first i ever heard of that and not close to heavy.

Reread what I wrote. Stainless steel doesn't rust, ETS older mild steel version did... For some reason I thought the injen was mild steel I guess I was wrong. Either way Stainless Steel is better than aluminum.
