Well, today I started pulling it all apart.
here is what i found, looks like a torque tube that goes from the center diff to the transfer case shattered, cracking the TC cover, bearing race, outer torque tube, and wedged into the TC carrier. the end of the tube is still down in the center diff. tomorrow when i get to the shop ill check the spiders in the TC carrier.

i have heard of it before..you should try evoempire.org. its a norcal evo site. some guys had the same problem and i think they got an after market that suppose to be a lot stronger.

damn in nervous now. i have the same clutch with about 1000 miles on it and 65k on the rest of the car and with what will be a lot more power than stock shortly the fiance will kill me if i break it knowing (not knowing) how much $$ ive spent on the evo in the last few months

Spoke with John at Shep yesterday.... sent out the TC and center diff to him today. Should hear something in the next few days.
He mentioned they make an upgraded torque tube
