can you elaborate on, under what conditions the car stopped working? were you driving it (if so, how hard, etc) .. or was it just sitting there? Have you done any recent work to the card?

How many miles? What year? What model? What mods? What happens when you turned it over? Did you check the battery?

Basically, theres really not enough info to help man ..

Yeah kind of tough to diag when we don't have all the variables. If it quite while you were driving and the timing belt snapped then definitely a possibility.

Did it turn over when you tried to start it? or did it just not do anything? if it didnt even turn over i would think it would not be a timing belt? otherwise you wouldnt have made it home the night before.

As it stands, it could be anything. If you were driving and it suddenly happened, it could be something as severe as churbo said, or something as minor as a dead ECU fuse

^^^very true

I forgot to ask as well if this is a reputable shop. Do they see evos often? These might be questions you ask and if you're aren't sure then tow it somewhere that does know evos.

If your timing belt popped then valve damage is likely. Was the car perfectly fine when driven last? How many times did you try to start it after it went dead?
