The OFFICIAL: What have you had fixed under warranty thread. Evo 8 and 9 only please.
Okay well...I am coming up on my 4 year bumper to bumper warranty and rather than inspect every part of my car with a fine toothed comb, maybe I can start checking the list of things other people have had issues with.
Please only add to the list if you had something covered under warranty or something that should or would have been covered by the warranty if it were not expired. I didn't see another thread like this, so please if there is one link me to that. If not, let me get it started.
We'll keep it clean and categorized and will update this first post with new ones. If I missed a category, post it up and we can add it. Thanks!
EXTERIOR:
1. Wing (Clearcoat on Carbon fading). Replaced Under Warranty
2. Rust on trunk from spoiler. DENIED
3. Sunroof assembly. Replaced under warranty
4. Rust on drivers rear quarter, went through enough to split the panel. DENIED.
INTERIOR:
1. Driver Visor (mirror portion popped out while driving on 2 month old Evo IX) Replaced under warranty.
2. Steering Wheel (Leather peeling at the 6 o'clock position on 6 month old Evo IX) Replaced under warranty.

1. Lathe Shaft and synchros (500 Miles)

1. Brembos Peeling. Warranty Claim DENIED

I had less than 500 miles on my car and the dealer had to replace the lathe shaft and fifth gear syncro. 300 miles later the same issue occured in a 3rd to 4th gear gear change with a tech in the car so they ended up replacing all 5 syncros.
All covered under warranty, didn't cost me a dime. They even threw in monster mats for my trouble

But in all honesty, I wash, clay, and wax my car like I have issues ( which I do). The ENTIRE car is spot less, except for that rear quarter panel. Seriously, it's really bad.

All 4 brembos replaced (clearcoat peeling)
All front grilles replaced (black paint peeling)
Steering wheel replaced (leather coming apart at 6 o'clock position)
Drivers seat bottom replaced (leather popping of rail on the side)
Stock downpipe replaced (heat shield rusted and rattled)

Suspension: Active Center Differntial hydraulic pump and relay - Replaced under warranty (yes, it is classified as a suspension component... no, I dont know why)
Interior: plastic clip holding the seat fabric to the rail (drivers side seat, edge closest to the door) - Repaired under warranty
Brakes: Brembo peeling - DENIED

Car was completely stock.
Exterior:
1. Brembos faded and peeling - warranty
2. Wing clearcoat faded - warranty
Wing is less than two years and have to take it back due to the normal fading

Wow. This is great info guys. Keep it coming. My grill piece has been rock chipped to ****, but I never even thought of trying to get it warrantied. I would hate to sit there and let them touch my car and get the bumper off though....I was thinking I'd just spray it black again myself instead of risking letting the dealership touch the car.
Same with my mirror. I asked them just to give me the new mirror since its two screws I didnt want to wait for a "tech". Manager said no go, must be replaced by tech. I even offered to remove it, give it to them and just let me take the new one. Also said no go....so I waited 2 hours for a "tech" to unscrew two friggin screws. Talk about customer dis-service.....
