A very sad day indeed. It's truly unfortunate, but if the current market trends keep up this is ultimately where many prominent Japanese manufacturers very well may end up.

I'd be lying if I said I cared.
Sure, it sucks in the sense that the name USED to mean something when Mitsu cared about rallying/racing in general, but what have they done lately? In my three years of Evo ownership/posting here, all I can recall hearing about them is a really nice/overpriced CF lip and maybe some mudflaps here and there.

with all of the real tragedies happening across the globe every second of every minute, of every hour, of every day, is this REALLY news to any of us? It's sad to see people on this thread complaining as though they have just lost a dear friend, family member, or even their jobs. There are so many people out there losing so much more, news like this, unless you are one of the many who will be laid off from Ralliart, isn't really news at all. Some people don't have the money to buy food for their families because of the economic downturn, and some of you are complaining that you won't be able to waste money buying some overpriced part with a Ralliart name on it. That's the sad part. I think the downturn hit others a little harder. You should be thanking whatever God you believe in that THIS is the worst news you've gotten all day.

Well, as a whole Ralliart was more focused on actual racing and manufacturer competition rather than parts. The parts were just trickle down goodies for a little extra revenue.
It's funny just how much the US economy affects the rest of the world...kinda makes you wonder if the whole thing was engineered. Hummmmmmm.
