04 Evo 8 with 2k miles, should i keep it under the cover or drive it ?

Man putting my car away for the winter is hard enough. Everytime i walk in my garage to take my other cars out i see my Evo in the last garage stall chillin, its hard not to drive it. Living in chicago for the winters the car needs to stay in the garage though. I love driving my Evo. Enjoy it while you can man. Were not saying you need to drive it 24/7 lol, but at least enjoy it take it out and have fun.

i don't see the point of owning a car like the EVO and not driving it. it's one of the best drivers cars ever made, and 2000 miles isn't even enough time to learn to drive it correctly. not to mention the fact that those 2000 miles were probably babied, and the car not even driven hard. just seems like a big waste. I've got 150k on my 06 IX MR, and I love it.

on-topic, Drive it like it was meant to be driven. You're crazy to have such an amazing piece of machinery only to let it sit in a garage, but that's just my .02

Agreed. Not to mention if you wanted to cash in on the car, you'd have to keep it a LONG time. I'd say the vast majority of people wanting to buy this type of car want to drive it. Not store it in a garage.

seems they been asking for pics and op cant produce any. so until its shown it does not exsist to answer a earlier question that front bumper is either a cwest or ait racing front bumper.

Do the following:
1. Take lots of pics
2. Drive your car somewhere fun. Take more pics.
3. Sell Car
4. Put said pictures on your work PCs desktop / screensaver
5. Invest $$ into something useful
If you don't drive it, whats the point?

i wouldnt drive it. Eventually it will be a collectors car. No one ever expected the grand national to increase in value. No one thought the supra would still hold the original price tag. Eventually the cars will have some sort of value and a car with that low of mileage will bring in some money to you. I wish i could have a brand new evo 9 and i would just park it and leave it. If i had 2 evos i would deffinitly park 1 and drive 1. Just me.

To the OP, the question is 'do you get any satisfaction out of the car?'
You've had the car this many years, is it still fun? Keeping it well maintained, garaged and loved is one thing, but.........is driving it around the block once in a while enough for you?
If you still have love for the car, derive some pleasure from owning it and occasionally, taking it for short drives.................then your answer is simple.
Keep your car and keep doing what you've been doing. When those feelings change, then you make a change. You put it up for sale or whatever and move on.
I bet when u decide to sell, (like some of the people on here keep telling you to do) you will have an easier time getting what u want for it than if it had 75,000 miles on it.
