they also say its because the o-ring is worn and/or to much leftover oil on the side can let it slip also

Somewhat common issue.

Mine popped out on the dyno after I had it built. Had the tip of the dipstick tube crimped slightly and I've had no issues since. Recommend improving the crankcase vent system in some way, either crankvents or a well designed catch can system.

just get a big pair of pliers and squeeze the top of the tube a little...pinch it slightly...it will grab it tighter...

just go a little at a time till it gets nice and night...dont gorilla it too hard right off the bat or it will pinch closed too much...

A friend of mine pulled the rubber o-ring off, wrapped the same spot with some threads (yes, the normal sewing type) and then slip the o-ring back on. No more popping out the dipstick. If you could get a bit "fatter" o-ring that may help too.

Would installing a catch can that integrates into the PCV system help resolve this problem in any way? A oil catch can design such as the DC3 catch can?

It's happened on mine one time at 30psi, installed a spring and never happened again even at 45psi. I had a customer lose his dipstick on a high speed run and spun a bearing after losing 1.5 quarts. The rod was blue from the heat. This isn't something you want to experiment with, put a spring on it.

It helps, but will not guarantee that the dipstick won't pop out again.

i have one in my car and it has not solved the problem, it pops out at high boost... put a spring and call it a day.
