Ha this isn't a scam or anything

So I searched Lancer Evolution in the south florida area last night to see if there are any good deals posted. And I find this:

http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/cto/1620492610.html

Cheap huh?? unbelievably cheap. I knew not to trust it, but, sometimes people are just dumb and make stupid decisions. Decisions that I can take advantage for my benefit that is... So I email the poster and he replies saying this:

Hello stephan,

The 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer is still available for the price listed ($9999). No trades at this time!!!

My name is Jose Lopez and I thank you for the interest in my car. Before we go any further I must inform you of my present situation. Tomorrow I’ll be flying to Yellowknife, Canada, as I just got a great job at Nuna Logistics, the company in charge with the ice road to the diamond mines in north. That is also the reason for selling. The only way we can complete this deal is online. I already left the car within the custody of a shipping company which will handle the delivery. I can proof that as soon as I’ll get an online tracking number from them.
And as a safety way to do this, I suggest we use eBay. I will list my car on their website with a buy it now offer for you. You may then purchase it and take advantage of their vehicle purchase protection program which will assure you that you’ll get what you’ll pay for. Rest assure that my car is in perfect working condition with outstanding autocheck score. If you are really interested in it let me know and we will find a way to finish this asap.

Thanks for understanding.
hahahaha how much of a scam is this?? I can't believe people even have the ***** to try and work me like this. You'd have to be the stupidest person on the face of the earth to fall for a scam like this. Wish I could buy an 06 evolution for 10,000 though. Only in my dreams... Anyways, Just thought it would be funny to share with you guys. have a good night!

If someone falls for this, the "ebay" link sent is to a fake, look-alike site.

Sadly, some person will go for that. I see a good amount of fraud cases like that at work.

i paid him but i didn't get a confirmation from the shipping company. wtf?

these types of scams exist because a lot of people in the early internet sales days have fallen for it. and some probably still do.

PC was $700, he was willing to pay $1300 lol

yup. this is why when you go search for cars/trucks in craigslist a huge banner on top says "OFFERS TO SHIP CARS ARE 100% FRAUDULENT"
