Hit 150,000 miles today...06 EVO IX MR
#23
Biggest issues I've had were with poor fitting Seibon carbon trash, Ralliart front lips being destroyed by driving, furry woodland kamikaze creatures, and a couple light bulbs going out. That's really been about it.
I don't get the notion of babying EVO's but beating on a honda accord. The accord is the one you would baby. The EVO is built with race quality parts to stand up to the stresses of racing. That's one of the reasons I bought it...so i wouldn't have to baby it! lol honestly, the EVO has been the most reliable car I've ever owned (this is coming from someone who had an Acura integra, civic Si, and Honda Accord before the EVO). I had all 4 cars at once, and the only one I could trust day in day out was the EVO. It's never left me stranded, never broken down. I get in, turn the key, and go.

I'm bored so decided to add it all up. You've had the car for 1,612 days since October 22nd, 2005. Given that information, that means you drive an average of 93.05 miles per day! Holy fack! lol. You're filling up probably every 2 or 3 days!
Probably not something you want to know but lets figure out how much money you've probably spent on gas. Let's just use a nice even number like 20mpg. Sure you may get a little more or less every now and then but I'd say 20 is a good starting point. And we'll say $3p/gal is the average price you've probably paid for gas. I'm sure depending on where you live it's probably more than that, especially if you're using 93/94 octane.
150,000miles / 20mpg = 7,500 gallons
Then you take 7,500 gallons X $3.00 p/gal = $22,500 on gas! Basically you could have bought a second Evo with cash to spare with the amount of money you've probably spent on gas. lol.

lol well I had a 300 mile round trip commute to work for close to 9 months. I put around 45k miles on the car in 9 months. during that stretch I would start with a full tank, use about 3/4 of a tank getting to work, fill up, use 3/4 getting home, then fill up again to do it all again the next day. at the time this was going on, gas was over $4 a gallon. it was like paying another house note in gas every month. i finally moved closer to work though. now my commute is about 26 miles round trip to work.
