How mod friendly is your local dealer? Everyone is going to say something different because all dealers are different. My dealer has always worked on mine under warranty with bolt ons, but others will void warranty with a few modifications.
Do you have the stock parts to swap out? That may be the best idea.
How many miles are on the car? Are you the first owner? Have you been to the dealer before for previous work?

If you have your stock parts I would swap em out for the inspection. If it's under mitsu warranty and they are mod friendly than give it a shot but if its under an extended through another warranty company then swap the parts out. ANY MODIFICATION will void it, they over exaggerate and typically make up their own rules for problems to anything on your car. I would swap out mods back to stock, get it replaced then swap back call it a day. Put your stock air box back on and exhaust (hopefully you still have it)

My best guess is no. The stealership denied warranty on my transfer case back in 2005. All I had was an intake and springs. Put stock parts back on and went to a different stealership and got a new transfer case.
