Evo ix se lip

I have a few questions thats why im posting this here and not in the marketplace, well that and I dont even have 50 posts yet to post there.

I'm looking to get an IX SE LIP, hopefully graphite gray to match my car. Gruppe-S had one for sale on their site, which was perfect because it was pre-painted GG. I called them but apparently they arent able to get it from Japan anymore. They are able to get unpainted ones on special order in the US for around 300.

My questions are:

Whats a ballpark price i'm looking to pay to have the lip painted to match my car?

and Does anybody have any idea of any other places that carry the IX SE LIP?

Thanks,

-Chris

I bought my lip from South Coast Mitsubishi for $200 which only comes in Wicked White and then my local body shop painted it GG for me for $180, so $380 for me at least.

Oh nice, i'm working a project in LA which isnt too far away from OC so I wonder if I can get the same deal, or even if every Mitsubishi dealership can get them. I'm assuming your body shop also installed it as well?

RussellM from Mitsubishiparts.net carries them for $252.77. The shipping is pretty expensive because of the size of the box. Mine came out to $122.75 (to Florida). For a total of $375.52.

Only thing is that they only come in Weightless White (Not Wicked White) from the factory, so you'll have to get it painted. Should cost about $50-$100.

Search the forums! This topic has been covered numerous times!

someone just made a thread about this, and they had a link to a JDM site that claims to still have the lips painted from the factory, and even if they aren't painted, they are cheaper than anywhere else I've seen.

the thing about the SE lip though, you're gonna need some extra undertray pieces to mount it.

Yeah I never really thought about the dealership until it was brought up in this thread, for some reason I was under the impression I wouldnt be able to get SE parts from the dealership.

i hear ya.. i got a new front bumper and se lip to replace mine from the dealer mine was pretty beat up from tailgating
they got it for me and paint matched it off my car.. depending on your color like mine tarmac black there are 7 variations of the same color so they will take your color and match it.. if you get it prepainted it will never ACCUALLY match perfectly.. y the dealer is the best choice GL

Just a note. You don't need any additional pieces if you don't plan on running the undertray. Just the lip and the gold screws.
