to anyone who replies

don't offer any advice that would be illegal

to the op

you'll need a cat in the car and the stock ecu

I'd hardly consider that "taking apart the car"

Having a cat put on is going to be the big thing, they will check for CEL codes and go from there. I have a stock cat that I can sell you, but you will have to go and get inspected first. They will tell you what you failed for and give you a couple of weeks to fix it.

If you have an autozone near you go there before you get inspected. As far as i remember they read OBD codes there for free.

They are not that strict, I am from Chicago, and it takes less than 5 minutes to get it done. They hook up to the OBDII and gas cap, then they tell you what is wrong if anything. Like mentioned before get checked at Autozone, if no codes are thrown you should pass with no problems.

You'll pass without the cams and a cat and a tune that's lean enough.
