300 ft/lbs of torque?!

300 ft/lbs of torque?!

this is for the front axle nuts, its about a 1 inch nut that holds in the rotor tight and the axle, it has slots for a twisted pin so it stays in place. Mine came off, i have to tourque it spec and put a new one in, i found 300 ft/lbs online, sound right to anyone?

Good place to start. No way is it 300 ft-lbs.

300 foot pounds sounds like a bit much

I would guess 30 ft.lbs of tq.

already checked that sticky, axle nut is no where to be found =/

That nut does not hold the rotor on and as for TQ 167 ± 21 ft-lb

awsome! thanks! ive been on the phone with 3 mitsu dealers and all have put me on hold, tranferred me to the wrong techs. ugh theyre all a pain in the ***! thanks again!

^^^^ it holds the axle with the whole knuckle. the rotor is held on by the pads and bracket or sometimes 2 srews on the disk

cotter pin....if the nut came off there'd be much bigger problems lol

nothing on a car is 300 ft. lbs! but i've always impacted them on so, eh.
