greddy bov leaking
So my friend and i finished making our boost leak tester for my evo and his 3000gt today. We hooked it up on my evo and put around 15psi or so in. it then starts coming out of the greddy type RS BOV that i have.
it doesnt drop the pressure down really fast but still enough that i feel like its leaking to much, or should it leak at all?
We also tryed adjusting it all the way hard, but it still leaks and tryed all the way soft to see if it leaked more or less, it seemed to be the same no matter where it was turned.
is this normal or what?
and have any suggestions?

Where was it leaking from? I just picked up one not too long ago, and it leaked where the adapter meets the base. On further inspection, the adapter wasn't flat, and it was causing it to leak. Returned it, and bought a new one and it was fine after that.
If yours is leaking out of the outlet at 15 psi, it has a bad diaphragm and needs to be rebuilt. They should hold solid until almost double that.

fear not!! Mine did that when NEW!!! get some lithium lubricant, or even WD40 and spray a little in the little niple where you connect the vacuum tube. The shaft sticks open and needs lube.
If this doesn't work, then you probably have a torn diagphram as described above. I did the spray more than 18 months ago and it is still not leaking!!

I would guess its the real deal dont really know. The greddy BOV was on the car back almost 2 years ago when i bought it. im gonna try what crazy said over the week end. and then do another boost leak check sunday and see if it affects anything then i will look into getting a evo ix bov.
