New AEM Wideband Problem

Just installed my new out of the box AEM Wideband. Description as follows.

Problem: Goes straight to lean and have double dashes on display at all times.

Already Checked:

1. Mounted in test pipe at 1 oclock position.
2. Checked for any and all exhaust leaks - Cant find any.
3. Wiring? Have been messing around with this for a day and am frustrated.

What are your guys thoughts. Anyone else with previous similar experience? A solution would be so great right now.

make sure you have a solid power source. Also Check your ground.. i would start with that.. Might just be a bad ground..

Does the sensor by any chance have to be calibrated? I don't have the AEM one, but on the Innovate one you have to calibrate it for it to work 1st.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Cig light for power is being used.

I can try a different ground, however, if the ground wasnt good it wouldnt turn on at all right?

Oh, and no on the calibration front for the AEM.

very odd. When the sensor is unplugged does it sit at 14.7? Did you install the sensor and run it without the controller before wiring in the controller?

Nope installed then wired same day. Just tried something. Boose guage light and wideband are both into cig lighter. Took boost guage power off the cig line and it idled longer at 14.7 -15.01:1 then straight to lean. Like its trying but struggling.

My greddy turbo timer is also into the cig lighter and what is also weird is that now the timer just begins counting up sitting still.

I think I need a seperate power source for each of these items?

if the ground was sub-par it might just give you faulty readings

Its probably not a bad o2 sensor, but if you have spare time you can give this a shot:

Yeah not sure but I only have the wide band hooked to mine. Have you tried it hooked up solo?

Yah I would try a separate power source. You might have to much hooked into that one power source. I would also find another ground to to be sure..
