I took some leave from shaw afb and I went home for 2 weeks. We drove 12hrs back to IL. We took my wifes little Nissan Versa for the trip and left the evo back home. I miss driving it and cleaning it, even though my 3rd gear is still messed up, the car is still such a blast to drive. I miss boosting it down the road just driving around. I will be getting back home Wednesday and I can't wait!

Anyone else miss there evo when they are away?

All I have been doing in what free time I have had is look at parts I want to buy for the evo while wanting to drive it so badly.

HAHA.. I have a Versa also. I can totally relate about driving it.

 

just hope you dont have to miss yours for 2 out of the last 3 years like i did.

 

I just left NJ for San Francisco, I'll be away for a month!!! I know how you feel, but I'll miss my evo more than you. Before I left I was tuning it with 4wstuning, and I am about half way done, it's like a different car now with new setup, and I wanted to be there to finish it. It was so much fun tuning it, because every map I received from 4wstuning, it gets me excited. I just install a new gauge too, and it looks so beautiful and functional but I won't be able to see it in a month. oh and I bought set of rims with tires too, and I can't wait to put those on. There are so much waiting for me back home.

 

I sold my MR to get a X and I miss that call like no other. It was very fun to build it up and drive it with all that power. Now I have to start all over again with this X.

 

I know what you mean, I got my setup done with the fpblack, had the car for 2weeks on the new tune making 443hp@420tq and messed up 3rd gear syncro. Now I just skip 3rd gear altogether when I drive. Up to I finished the mods and got it tuned I was in the same shoes. Now I am working on just alittle more power(hoping for 475hp@400+tq) but I really want to lighten up the driveline with some lightweight wheels, driveshaft and rotors. I want the ultralight girodisc rotors, AWDmotorsports driveshaft, and buddyclub qf wheels with lightweight street tires. On top of all that I am going to do the free mods to remove some extra weight out of my car while keeping it in full-daily street trim.

 

Its a good little car for a daily, but OMG the lack of fun it is. Its so quiet I always turn the key again after its been running and grind the starter alittle.

 

I can't wait till i can have the "I MISS MY EVO FEELING"

 

i hate that feeling i cant live without my evo atm
