It's definitely safe to run copper plugs and I bet if you do a search on here or ask around you'll find more people running copper plugs rather than Iridiums. Here's a thread that I found about this very subject. Sounds like most people think the coppers are just as good but you might have to change them a little more frequently. I may go back to the Iridiums once this set goes bad but right now my car is running good on the coppers so why fix it if it it's not broken?

I totally got thread jacked lol, no worrys though so does anyone know if air coming out of my oil filler is a bad thing? My friend said that means the timing is off, could that be it? My car is running much better now it still spits and sputters though.

Sorry I figured two similar problems didn't need to threads. How much oil is coming out of the filler cap? I noticed some oil around mine also.

Its not oil coming out its air. I noticed it when I did a boost leak test, it does it when the engines running too

I just saw a thread about the PCV valve being bad could that be why you have air coming out filler cap during a boost leak test?

found out what the issue was, i have two burnt valves lol. in the process of rebuilding the head now

You probably shouldn't be running VTA if your on stock ECU. Glad you found your problem. GL with the rebuild. Make sure you get a reputable tuner to do the work.

How did you find out that the valves were burnt?

Did a compression test and found zero compression in one of the cyl. Had my mechanic stick a mini camera in the head and we saw two melted valves.

Damn that sux...Did the car seem like it was still running good or was there some power loss?
