Start Up

Every time I start my car up i get a big puff of white smoke. Can anyone please tell me why. The car only has 30k on it. And it is an 05. Or is this nothing to worry about.

Thanks in advance.

Bobby

It's hard to say for sure, but usually that would just be the condensation built up in your exhaust burning off.

Gas, regardless of the amount, still goes bad. Just because it's a smaller quantity doesn't mean the chemical properties of it change.

You could always have someone start the car for you and see what it smells like. Gas and oil have very distinct smells. If you don't really smell anything I would vote for condensation.

Condensation from your cat. If you have one.
