ok I saw this and thought it was funny that the seller thinks a evo 8 tranny will hold 1000hp and goes so far as to say john shep says itll hold it. Correct me if im wrong but I thought this was crazy. I mean it looks like a **** load of money was spent on the car but I just dont understand why AMS wouldnt upgrade the tranny.

back in the day (4-5 years ago) I believe AMS (could have been Buschur or maybe both) was/were running a stock tranny with an upgraded transfer case and rear diff

the 5 speed is pretty stout for what it is...technology and aftermarket options have definitely grown making beefing them up a cost effective option

Even if the tranny may last a little why spend the money this person did and not build the tranny? what is it like 1800 for it haha? anyway I just figured id share this everyone. Im kinda curious what he wants for the car.

 

My big question is, if the car is really only going for 18k, why not just part it out and make half that asking price? I dunno about this one..

 

yeah i know . there is a reserve though but yeah i agree theres something about this thats not right. I mean why wouldnt the person try and sell it on evom for free before putting it on ebay? I wonder if the owners on here
