I NEED INPUT ON 2.0 or 2.3

My car, IX MR, is already scheduled and will be at AMS.

The plan is...2.3 stroker with the FP Black. The other mods are in my sig. The car will be run on pump gas and is not a daily driver, however I won't be doing autox or drag. I don't plan on having a 10k rev limit, but plan on staying at 8k. With the larger cams, on the stock block I did notice a huge difference with low end.

I am questioning if I should stay with the 2.3 or go back to the 2.0, but it will still be run with a FP Black.

Does anyone have a similiar setup and can input on power output and drive experience?

2.3L is good but you would have to probably change your gearing to fully enjoy it.

There's a bunch of 2.4L blacks out there, I'm sure that would be similar. 2.0 vs 2.3 has been covered, but you need to decide if you want the torque or the rev. More torque and displacement usually don't rev as high. As where the built 2.0 usually revs out to 9-9500ish.

I was reading on the 2.0 vs 2.3, but all of it is like a 50/50. I am really looking for someone who has either set-up to tell me what their experience is with it.

I did, but they were not really specific and like I said I am looking for more of the driving experience rather than the actual specs on either block. All those threads really just had either "I love this setup" or "mine did this time" or "go with this block". No real statements on driving through a sub at 25mph is tougher cause of having too much low end or cruising at 45mph is perfect with either motor.

Nevermind, just paid for a 2.4 from slowboyracing. Sorry for the wasted thread.

I have read and been told that with my setup the 2.4 will be great as far as getting my low end back and keeping power to the top. Since I am not going to be doing any kind of competition driving and keeping a rev limit of 8k the application will be perfect.

NOT TO MENTION the cost is cheaper than the 2.3 and 2.0.

i dont even see the point in going with a built motor if your not even going to race or road course it. waste of funds for a car that could have been spent someplace else.
