Upper Intercooler hose replacement

Upper Intercooler hose replacement
Is there an after market replacement for the stock upper hose? The one that connects to the Throttle body and the upper intercooler pipe? Upper is still stock so would need something to fit on the stock throttle body and upper pipe. Thanks.

It sounds like he wants to replace just the UICP nylon coupling that goes from the intercooler piping to the throttle body. I'm not sure if the sell an aftermarket replacement for that piece but I'm sure you'd be able to find something to do that from this website: http://www.siliconeintakes.com/index...937307584b757a

this is correct thanks will see if I can find something. I think my oem hose is stretched. It will not stay on the throttle body. Used tclamps, hairspray so was thinking of just upgrading the hose. Still on stock IC and BOV so not sure it makes sense to replace uicp. I did replace the lower.

The UICP is more for looks. I don't think you'll gain much power if you replace it. Even if you go with the short route which I have. I replaced my UCIP since I ended up getting a small battery and I bought my IC piping as a package deal from ETS.
I know they sell kits to replace the factory couplings but at a cost of $230+ I don't think it's really worth it.

Make sure the hose is seated properly past the bead on the throttle body and tighten the clamp with a ratchet/socket.
You can find a stock hose on ebay or maybe on here in the for sale section.
The closest aftermarket option that is close to stock is the Samco hose in black (but it's a set and not seperate);

i had to position my coupling "just right" with a serious t-clamp. i tightened it down with my 3/8" drive cordless impact (unsure of tq). holds fine.
i've seen the OEM UICP on a dyno. it twists and swells at the rubber spots. very strange. not a bad idea to change it.
i need to get a metal piece as, for some reason (bad alignment), my rubber couplings either rub on the radiator fan shroud or the battery. i'm waiting to bust a hole in one.

Everyone keeps forgetting that you need a clamp with thinner diameter band, whether it's a t-bolt or whatever. A 3" won't grab the coupler right, it will get caught on the wedge on the throttle body and not inbetween the two grooves to hold the hose in tight.
